Commit To Kids
As part of our leadership training, we subscribe to an online course entitled “Commit to Kids” which is offered by the “Canadian Centre for Child Protection.” We want all staff to take this course once every five years.
The course itself takes a number of hours, but does not have to be completed all at one time. Instead it is expected that you will go through it one section at a time. There is a quiz at the end in order to test that you have actually gone through the material.¹
Once you have completed the course and passed the quiz, it will give you the option of creating a certificate. You should create the certificate and then email (or mail) a copy of it to Steve Klassen.
There is no charge to you for taking the course, but there is a charge to the camp, so please don’t take the course unless you are truly planning to be at camp this year.
For more information on the program, see…
¹ When you take the quiz you will see a screen that asks for your birthdate and your "National Coaching Certification Program Number." You don't need that number. If you are a member of the NCCP you can get some kind of credit for taking this course, but if not, above the birthdate field will be a line that says "Click here to bypass this step and continue to the test." Click on that link and you will be on your way.
